Prayer:
If Your Holy Spirit
were gone, would anything change? Would
anyone notice anything different? Could
I tell if you weren’t there? Am I so
dependent on my personality, stories and past experiences that I don’t need
you? Do I depend on your Son for Life,
or on my own effort? Am I led by your
spirit of by my human nature alone?
God, these are
scary questions. I
long to give up control and walk moment by moment in your spirit. I want to be fresh, new and alive. Spare me from routine. I want to live by the spirit. I don’t want to just do something because
it’s always been done that way. I want
to be open to your leading and bind my will to your calling.
Spirit of the
living God, fall fresh on me.
Melt me. Mold me.
Fill me. Use me.
Spirit of the
Living God, fall fresh on me.
Act of Devotion:
List ways that you differ
in your morals and values from your friends or family that don’t know
Christ. Examine whether or not the
spirit is evident in your life.
