Prayer:
God, can I ask you a
question? Why? Why?
Why? Why do you use heartache,
problems, hurts, pains, sickness, and disappointments to cause us to grow? Does it have to take that, or is it our
stubbornness? Why don’t we come to you
and be alone with you when things are well?
Help me not forget you when all is going OK. I’ve seen people pray, “Do whatever it takes
to grow me. Take my health, wealth, etc…
but please…” I know that knowing you is all that matters, but it seems cruel.
Can’t you be seen in the good times as well?
Please help! I believe you are
good, loving and trustworthy. Maybe it’s
because we live in a fallen world. But I
know you redeem and use even the yucky stuff to bring glory to Your name and grow us.
Act of Devotion:
God is not afraid or angry
with your questions. What is the biggest
question you have for Him right now? How
can He use it to help you grow?
