Prayer:
Jesus, You know me
better that I know myself. I have lots of
natural devotion, but I need you to make me a disciple. Like Peter, I have made promise after
promise, and commitment and commitment.
“This time I will never…” Yet like Peter, all my human effort is not
enough. I’ve been brought to the end of my self once again. I have denied you more than Peter. Lord, why do you want me? Lord, forgive me. Restore me.
Fill me with your spirit. My
prayer is that I will never be able to do it without you. I need you.
Act of Devotion:
It’s hard to admit your
failures. Can anyone keep all their
promises? What are some promises that
you have broken? What would God have you
do about them?
