The Word:
“For a time is coming when
people will no longer listen to right teaching.
They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will
tell them whatever they want to hear.
They will reject the truth and follow strange myths.” 2 Timothy 4:3-4
Prayer:
God, it seems like
someone’s coming up with a new religion at every turn, and people are falling
for it. They’re claiming to have the
truth, but their teaching contradicts your word. So, they cannot be true. Some of them have bits of truth, but are
sprinkled with false doctrine and lies about who you are. Help me to know and
pursue the truth, Father. I don’t want
to fall for some false teaching that only tells me what I want to hear. There are even those who try to tell me that
you have revealed yourself in new ways and have given revelations and messages
to their leaders. Some tell me that your
truth is only relative and I merely need to accept what’s right for me. No!
Jesus, you are the same yesterday, today and forever! Your truth never changes and your plan of
salvation has not changed since the beginning of time. Remind me that your truth is in your
word. Never let me stray. Always hold me in your truth.

Pick up a book that
studies and compares Christianities teachings to those of other religions.
